A Spark of Innovation: How QFlame Was Born
The idea for QFlame was born in the summer of 2018 in Germany, when engineer and entrepreneur Alexander Frank visited a longtime friend from the quartz glass industry. Among the various high-tech glass products his friend had developed, one stood out in particular: a thick, transparent quartz glass bowl originally intended for industrial applications. Curious and inspired, they lit a fire in it that very same evening.
What followed was pure magic. The flames danced vividly within the transparent bowl, reflecting and refracting the light in an almost hypnotic way. The heat-resistant quartz did not expand, crack, or discolor – instead, it glowed with a warm, amber hue.
In that moment, a vision was born: to create an exclusive fire bowl that transforms fire into a visual and emotional experience.
From Vision to Reality: QFlame by Inverthing GmbH
In 2019, the concept became a brand: QFlame, developed by the German company Inverthing GmbH. The mission was clear: handcrafted quartz glass fire bowls with minimalist design, built for high performance and lasting beauty. Thanks to the unique properties of high-purity quartz, each QFlame bowl withstands temperatures of up to 1300 °C, making it perfect for year-round outdoor use – in rain, frost, or sunshine.
